Review by Emily Boyd

The album Missa Nr 9 Te Deum by Heinichen, Zelenka Dresdner Kammerchor, Dresdner Barockorchester, HansChristoph Rademann is a stunning example of Baroque choral music. The Dresdner Kammerchor and Dresdner Barockorchester, under the direction of HansChristoph Rademann, deliver a passionate and precise performance that showcases the beauty and complexity of the music.

The album features works by two of the most important composers of the Dresden court, Johann David Heinichen and Jan Dismas Zelenka. The Missa Nr 9 Te Deum by Heinichen is a grand work that is both majestic and intimate. The choir and orchestra bring out the rich harmonies and soaring melodies, creating a sense of awe and wonder.

Zelenka's Te Deum is a more introspective work, with intricate vocal lines and subtle instrumental textures. The Dresdner Kammerchor and Dresdner Barockorchester capture the delicate beauty of the music, creating a sense of intimacy and introspection.
