Review by Al Penn

The Happy Prince is a beautiful and enchanting album by Jan Bach that captures the essence of Oscar Wilde's classic story. The album contains a collection of six pieces, each of which tells a different part of the story of the Happy Prince. The music is beautifully composed and performed, with a rich and evocative sound that transports the listener to a magical world.

The album begins with "The Happy Prince," a gentle and uplifting piece that sets the mood for the rest of the album. The music is light and airy, with a sense of joy and happiness that is infectious. As the album progresses, the music becomes more complex and intricate, with a range of different instruments and sounds that create a rich and textured sound.

One of the standout pieces on the album is "The Swallow and the Prince," which tells the story of the Prince's friendship with a swallow. The music is hauntingly beautiful, with a sense of longing and sadness that perfectly captures the bittersweet nature of the story.
